Six two-story family homes designed for starter housing are planned for the edge of the Nové záhrady area in Ružinov. The terraced housing was designed by the MEB Architects studio.

"The terraced housing responds to the high demand for housing in Bratislava and its surroundings. It introduces a new type of living—affordable, smaller starter homes suitable for young families with one child, married couples, single individuals, or retirees," states MEB Architects on their official website.

The architects drew inspiration for these homes from Japan, where every single free meter is precious.

You no longer need to travel halfway across the world to experience Japanese living. An unconventional project based on an international model will rise in the capital city. In the well-established district of Ružinov, new starter homes will emerge to compete with two-room apartments.

Price comparable to an apartment

Efficiency, simplicity, and maximum use of every space. That is the promise of the MEB Architects studio, which designed a row of six family houses in the residential area of Bratislava's Ružinov.

An original starter housing project inspired by the Land of the Rising Sun is currently being prepared on the edge of Ružinov.

Bratislava's Ružinov district can look forward to an unusual project. A row of six two-story family houses will be built in the Nové záhrady area. Various intriguing ways of living reach us from around the world, though as Europeans, we are not always ready to adopt all of them. We are accustomed to quite different standards, especially when it comes to housing. The Japanese living style brings simplicity and minimalism with it.

One of the founding members of the MEB Architects studio, Eva Babuliaková, is a graduate of FA STUBA with extensive experience. She has been an authorized architect since 2015 and currently works on a wide portfolio of projects in her studio.
